Northwood School — Tuesdays, 6:00pm–7:00pm

What to expect. A structured hour: a proper warm-up, a main conditioning section built around Punjabi music, and a cool-down with stretching. You'll likely be a beat behind everyone else for the first couple of weeks, and that's completely normal — every regular in the room was new once too.

Do I need any dance experience? No. This class is for all levels, from complete beginners through to the mega fit.

Why does this class happen, and why is it so low cost? Ravi has a passion to educate, and is very satisifed with his full-time job in technology. This is his voluntary activity to educate both people to exercise to Punjabi music, as well as to help more people become instructors.

The latter is the overall aim of Pungra, to help more people instruct exercise to Punjabi music classes. Ravi's classes enable him to commit to his own practice of teaching, and appreciates your help to educate more people to become instructors.

I'm not currently active — can I still come? Yes. The class is designed to include people at any current fitness level, with modifications available throughout.

I have a health condition — is this safe for me? Check with a doctor.

How much does it cost?

  • £4 per class for individuals
  • £6 for two people (bring a buddy)
  • £14 per month membership individual

Prices are revisited every 3 months. They are affected by venue cost, adjustments in insurance, music licence, certifications and average number of participants - loosely speaking, the more often the class is full the cheaper it works out for everyone, so don't let yourself or others down.
